Which Type of Bed
Where does your pet sleep: Does your dog sleep in the crate, on the floor next to your bed or on a sofa or pet cot. If your dog likes to sleep on a raised surface, think about a cot or a raised pet bed. Would the bed need to fit into the crate? Some stores offer special luxury furniture for pets, with plush chairs that have a convenient head rest for your dog.
Age: If your pet is older, a thermal dog bed would ease aches and pains during the cold season. Invest in a good quality, safe thermal dog bed that will last long. If your dog is older, you don’t need to worry about her/him chewing or shredding the bed, so get one with good features that will provide comfort.
Pet Tent: Pet tents are available for both small and big dogs. These are good if your dog like to huddle within and would feel more secure with a cover over him/her. Remember, your pet may not be able to see you if he/she is in the tent, so if your dog has separation anxiety or needs to see you, he/she will not use the tent.
